Buying clothes may make a huge dent in your savings but it doesn’t have to be that way. I’ve been paying less for clothing for years and now I’m going to share with you some secrets that helps me save money on clothes every time.
My wife loves TJ Maxx and there’s a good reason for it. The clothes are new and they are just cheaper. The products aren’t the latest fashion but man are they inexpensive. No wonder there’s always a huge lineup to pay.
Many big name retailers have their own discount store division so they can sell older models and clothes that are just stuck in their inventory. Nordstrom has Nordstrom rack, Saks have Off 5th Avenue, among many others.
You may need to park really far and pay for overpriced food at the food court but outlet malls have very good prices for clothes. Some may make you line up to go in but do so because the patient ones are the ones with huge bags of goodies when they walk out.
Holiday sales like Christmas sales are great but sometimes the after holiday sale is just as good. Usually, the crowd is gone so lineups and fighting are no where to be scene so you can actually enjoy the shopping experience.
Ever dreamed of flying to Milan to buy hand bags? There are actually people who do this and they save money too because the hand bags over there are much cheaper.
Buying more expensive clothes could actually save you some money. This is because better clothes usually last longer, and since you believe you look better in them, you will wear it more often, making buying new clothes less necessary.
Warmer climates actually help you save money. First, you aren’t wearing so many layers so that’s instant savings. Then, summer type clothes are usually cheaper. Third, you are at the beach all the time so it’s always the same clothes.
Online shopping is actually becoming more and more intelligent. Not only are you saving money, the return policies are getting better and better in case seeing it in person is different than the online picture.
