When a paintball player brings and uses a pump on the field, many semi-automatic fancy electronic marker players scratch their head. “Why would anyone want to play with a pump?”, is the question many ask themselves.

A pump paintball marker is a disadvantage on the field, in terms of rate of fire. That is the simple truth about them. You can’t shoot nearly as fast as an electronic marker. The low BPS (balls per second) ability of a pump makes others wonder why in the world anyone would want to use one. Below are just a few reasons why players choose to play with them.

The most understood reason for playing pump, is to save money. Let’s face it, the sport of paintball is a luxury sport, like golf is. It is incredibly expensive! Many players choose to constantly chase the latest and greatest gear, from the fastest guns to the newest masks, they continuously are purchasing new gear. Instead of chasing the latest and greatest, playing pump simplifies everything. Forget getting upgrades (they aren’t needed), and forget buying the latest and greatest pump, because a pump is a pump. A thousand dollar pump has to be pumped the same way a $200 does. There are many solid pumps out there that will not only save you money, but will also save you time because they are dependable and simple in operation. Not only will you save money on gear, you will also save money on paintballs and air. You’ll be shooting much less, which means you’ll spend less on paint and air. This will let you be able to play more and play longer.

Playing with a disadvantage isn’t for the faint of heart. When you are going up against electronic guns, this is especially true. Some people out there thrive on this challenge though, and for that reason they choose to play disadvantaged with a pump. They love the fact that they are the underdog, and that the odds are against them. This makes paintball much more exciting for them.

With a pump paintball gun, you can’t play the same way as you would with an electronic gun. Well, you could, but you would be completely painted head to toe if you were going up against players with fast guns. This makes you play smarter by finding more effective angles, making smarter moves, and taking better shots. With your ability to shoot less shots, you have to compensate by making each shot effective. You can’t utilize spray and pray because it isn’t effective with a pump. By forcing you to play smarter you will become a better player. With an electronic marker you still will get better, but at the same time it is easy to get sloppy and stay in the back and shoot paint like there is no tomorrow. Doing that trains fewer skills.

There are more reasons why someone would choose to play pump paintball, but these are a few of the big ones. Saving money is a big thing when it comes to this sport, because it is so expensive. If you want to save money, improve your skills, and experience a challenge, playing with a pump is a great way to do it.

Pump paintball is a ton of fun to play. For more reasons why you should get a pump, read Why Pump Paintball?

Using inflatable paintball bunkers can be something that you should consider the next time that you are setting up your paintball course. The problem that you might run into though is not knowing the reasons why you need to use these items. Once you do know the reasons though is that your going to find that it can help enhance your experience.

One positive that you can experience is that you can get more of these because the cost is going to be lower than if you built a permanent one. So that means that your going to be able to have more of them around in the lot for people to use as cover.

Another benefit is these can be moved from place to place. If you are worried about people getting complacent with the course that you have set up you will find that you can move these around. However, you can also move them around to keep your grass alive and the ground in good condition.

If you are worried about your fields being damaged you might find that these are going to be really good on your fields. That is because you are able to take them down and move them to a different area than what you are used to. So rather than having to leave them up and have your grass die off you will be able to take these down and get the grass the sun that it needs to grow.

If you look at the available ones compared to the ones that you have to install for a permanent use you can see that you will have more to choose from. So you will not have to worry about running out of items that you can put up that look realistic without having all the hassle of the real pieces.

When you want to make your paintball game more authentic you need obstacles. However, if you price putting in permanent ones you can see that the price is going to be very high, but if you look at using inflatable paintball bunkers your going to see that you can get numerous items and be able to enjoy yourself even more while your playing.

Need some for your field? Find Inflatable Paintball Bunker Manufacturers, and Inflatable Paintball Bunkers for sale (just follow the links!). You’ll be glad you did!

Whether you are a store, field, team, or just a dedicated paintball player that wants to be able to fill a tank whenever, then you will want to read this article. Here you will find the necessary equipment needed to fill paintball tanks, whether co2 or HPA. Being able to fill your tanks whenever you please is simply awesome, and you can do it by having the below equipment.

Fill Station – There are 2 types of fill stations, one for HPA and Co2. Pretty simple right? Just get the appropriate fill station for the type of tanks you plan on filling – co2 or HPA. You can find fill stations for anywhere from typically $30 to over $70. All-in-all, they are pretty affordable, and pay themselves after a couple of fills.

Scale – Not just any scale will do. You want one that is highly accurate, and can measure ounces. To make your life easier, I recommend getting a digital scale. Digital postal scales work perfectly, and can be bought for around $40. If anyone tells you to use a hanging scale, ignore them, they aren’t worth it.

Large Fill Tank – Bulk tanks aren’t the easiest to come by, but they aren’t impossible. Welding shops often get a bunch, and are willing to lease out a couple (which is what we did). You can also find bulk co2 tanks from large suppliers such as AirGas, but be ready to purchase insurance (which is cheap). If you want to fill HPA tanks, you can usually buy a bulk scuba tank on eBay or at a scuba shop, and then just have them fill it up for you.

With these 3 things you can fill your own tanks. The hardest to come by is probably the large fill tank, as sometimes you will be required to purchase insurance and whatnot for bulk tanks (especially co2). However, once you find a trusty supplier your set!

Before you get a Paintball HPA Fill Station, see what type you need! Yes, not all fill stations are created equal, and you can see for yourself here – Co2 Fill Station Paintball.

Paintball is a reasonably new sport on the world scene. It has slowly spread around the globe from when it started in the early 80`s. There are presently millions of individuals across the globe who constantly enjoy this sport regularly. It is classed as an adrenaline sport, and this genre of pass time is particularly popular with the younger generation.

As with all sports the equipment that is used to carry it out has become more technologically advanced over time. With this particular sport the components used are relatively simple. The gun or marker, as it is also known, is the main piece that you require. The gun is used to make the mark on your opponent, this is how you eliminate them from the game. Whatever the type of marker it always has a loading compartment attached. The chamber loading is done by the use of an electrical system, or purely by gravity.

The paint balls are what are actually fired at the opposition. These come in a wide variety of different qualities and types. The best quality pellets are spherically perfect, and the paint that they hold inside is dense. This make up guarantees that the ball will explode when it strikes.

Each individual playing the game must wear some goggles, or a protective face mask. This is absolutely vital, as it keeps the pain from the eyes, and the face, thus protecting them from being damaged. The most important areas that need to be protected are the ears, eyes, nostrils and mouth. Paint cannot be allowed to get to these parts.

In the beginnings of the sport the equipment that was used was relatively basic. With time there has been many advances and the pieces that people now use are much better. The costs have gone up though, some of the guns and balls can be extremely expensive. There is a price range to suit every budget, beginners should not spend huge amounts, the expensive goods are for the more advanced players.

There are a number of different stages of paintball. Many people will engage in the sport on a regular basis, some are even involved in leagues. Most areas have clubs that you can become a member of. This will allow you to play with individuals that are around the same level as you. If one plays regularly they will generally spend more on their equipment.

Most individuals that play, do so purely for fun. The majority of the players will be groups on bachelor or stag weekends, companies using the sport for a day out, or a team building exercise. Although the sport is deemed quite manly, this is not the case, there are many women who enjoy playing too. This is why it is so perfect for office outings.

When you are searching for a local paintball center, the internet is the best place to start. There are a variety of sites at your disposal, each will guide you to the closest spot to your abode. Most local directories will also have this information if you do not have the internet.

If you play paintball, you should have the correct equipment. You will want a paintball marker, gear and a good paintball gun to have fun. With our inventory we can make it happen.

Let us take a peak at CO2 and see what is going on inside of it and your gun while you are playing paintball. Many players choose to use it because it is more affordable than the superior solution, compressed air.

Many paintball players are fine staying with CO2. It works well enough if their gun that they don’t have a good enough reason to upgrade. For those of you that want to best they can get though, you should consider upgrading.

In the winter months, or in colder temperatures, you can experience several problems while using CO2. Your gun may start to sputter, choke, get freezing cold, or it may freeze up. Your tank may also get so cold that you can’t touch it.

These problems often occur when you are shooting rapidly. During times of rapid fire, it is important that problems like these don’t happen, because it is often when you are trying hard to hit a target, or keeping someone in their bunker.

In a tank the CO2 is in both gas form and liquid form. The gas is what you want your gun to use, while the liquid is what you want to keep out. When you shoot the gas, more liquid will turn into gas. When you are shooting rapidly the liquid often isn’t able to turn into gas quickly enough, so it goes into your paintball marker.

The problems that occur from liquid entering your gun can greatly hinder your consistency. You may notice your paintballs begin to travel shorter and shorter when you are firing rapidly.

As you can see, when you are trying to hit a target, inconsistent velocity can make it extremely difficult to ht a target. There are times when you need to shoot fast, and when doing so, it makes it difficult to effectively shoot fast when each shot goes shorter.

The solution to all your CO2 woes is HPA (or compressed air). It is consistent from shot to shot, and isn’t affected by cold weather. Velocity during rapid firing is more consistent.

As you learned above, N2/Compressed Air/N2 is the best choice when it comes to paintball. For the best tank you can buy for the money, and the size of tank you should get, go here – paintball N2 tank.

Just as a beginner to a sport doesn't go out and invest thousands of dollars on the top gear, most paintballers don't opt for the most expensive equipment.

Just as a beginner to a sport doesn’t go out and invest thousands of dollars on the top gear, most paintballers don’t opt for the most expensive equipment.

Less expensive markers will often use CO2, a power source that will work fine in most cases, but for those who want all the edge they can get to become a better paintballer, it is inferior to HPA (High Pressure Air).

Making the switch to compressed air (aka HPA) is a great idea for paintballers that want to have the best performance. Improved performance is the main reason for switching.

During periods of rapid fire, a marker fueled by CO2 is most likely to have problems. Consistency will drop, and the paintballs will begin flying shorter distances, making it difficult to hit what you are aiming for.

Consistency is important when you are shooting rapidly at a target. You want the paintballs to fly the same distance for each shot you fire. When CO2 doesn’t expand fast enough, drop offs in distance occur.

In cold weather, CO2 really is a pain in the neck. Anyone who plays in cold weather often should definitely make the switch if they want consistency. HPA stays consistent in cold weather.

If you have ever had your gun sputter, choke, or stop working while you were shooting fast, you had liquid entered your gun and cause problems. During times of rapid fire you need a power source that won’t cause these problems.

If you have ice shooting out of your gun or what looks like a cloudy, icy, muzzle flash and had your paintballs shooting at erratic distances, you might want to consider making the switch to compressed air.

Inside of your CO2 tank you have both liquid and gas. Paintball markers run well on gas, but when the liquid gets inside during rapid fire, it causes problems. Performance will suffer. HPA tanks are great because there is only gas in the tank.

So, if you are a paintballer that wants the best performance they can get from his marker, investing in a compressed air tank is a must.

Has your love of paintball went from hobby to something more serious? Is it time for you to start working towards becoming a paintball sniper? What you need is to do is research and find tips and secrets from professional paint-ballers. You are about to read, in this article, secrets, tactics and great information that will help you improve your techniques.

A lot of the advice here is to help you with getting accurate shots and performing them with as much ease as possible. Being a paintball sniper requires having your eye on your opponents at all times. When you have read through this advice, then don’t waste anytime to head out and practice what you have learnt. Your fellow paintballers are going to be begging you to reveal your secrets – whether you do or not is entirely up to you!

You want to get as much practice in as possible. Practice will be the best way to improve your skills and put what you learn to good use. You can set up targets in your own back yard. Be sure to put them in a safe place away from people and anything you don’t want paint on. To gauge where you are currently, go ahead and take some practice shots from about 25 yards away.

After shooting some practice shots go and check them out. Look for signs that show there is something you need to work on. This is a great way to assess your shooting style. Look for points spread horizontally. These show you moved the paintball barrel when shooting. Your goals is to keep steady and not allow for movement, so go fire some more practice shots to work on this.

Another great pro secret to know is about breath control. Control your breathing and it will really help your shooting technique. It can be very hard to keep your breathing in check when your adrenaline is going and you are pumped up, but the professional paintball snipers can do it and it is what sets them apart. Controlled breathing helps you to keep your paintball barrel steady. Just practice and be aware of your breath at all times.

When you decide to become a pro paintball sniper, you have to spend some money on good gear. This means a high quality paintball gun and paintball barrel. The best choice is a sniper gun with a high quality paintball barrel. The barrel is important because it is what really determines how straight the paintball fires out of the gun. The barrel can be purchased separately and just screws onto the end of the gun.

Form is important in paintball. You want to practice both standing and kneeling, but it is kneeling that is the secret for the pros. A kneeling position gives you the ability to steady your arm on your leg for more control. Plus you can easily move fast and stay low when coming out of a kneeling position. Standing can prove to be a challenge, but you should still practice shooting from various positions. Vary your shooting positions during practice so you can improve your accuracy no matter what position you are in.

The last thing to master on your way to becoming a pro paintball sniper is shooting while moving. You need to get your shots accurate. Practice, practice and practice some more. Try running in all different types of patterns. Also practice shooting over your shoulder behind you. With time you will find your shots become very accurate and you waste less paint. Your pro paintball sniper dreams will be within easy reach. Just work hard and keep practicing.

Tippmann 98 Custom is a semi-automatic paintball gun with an open-bolt inline and blowback system. It is also known as 98C, 98 Custom or 98. It is quite popular for the newcomers of the sport because of its ease of use and reliability.

This paintball gun is made from die cast aluminum giving the 98 a durable stock. It is compatible with compressed air, nitrogen and carbon dioxide making it adaptable to any weather conditions. Weighing 2.9 lbs without the tank and a barrel of 8.5 inches, this paintball is quite heavier and longer compared to most guns.

For the ball propulsion, most people would use carbon dioxide as it is cheaper compared with the compressed air. Compressed air is more expensive because of the upfront cost of the compressed bottles. When using CO2, use the 20 oz tank to provide you more shots.

As you may know, the 98 Custom is equipped with a $5 hopper which is good enough for rental purposes or for newbies. But as an experienced player of the sport, you may want to upgrade it to a motorized hopper to give you a high rate of fire. Using motorized hopper also can lessen the chances of jams of broken or chopped paintballs.

The $5 hopper of the 98 Custom is good enough for the newbies of the sport, as well as for rental purposes. But as an experienced player, upgrading it to a motorized hopper can give you a high rate of fire, making it more fun to use. Using motorized hopper also can lessen the chances of jams of broken or chopped paintballs. Make sure you are using a reliable quality paintballs. Paintballs with thinner shells break easily and is prone to cause your gun jams.

Always clean your gun after the game. Although the 98 Custom can hold a significant amount of dirt and paint, cleaning your gun will help it function better. You can remove all the paintballs and the release the air after the game. Remove the barrel and clean it using a pull-through towel or sponge. Remove also the feed neck and clean it using a warm, running water and then dry it with a towel. If there are broken paintballs, remove it using a spray bottle. You need this too to remove dirt and paint in the breech area. The outer receiver can also be sprayed clean and wiped dry. While cleaning, you can also check if the ball latch is still intact. It is the orange device in the breech that controls the feed of the paintballs, preventing more that 1 ball to enter the barrel.

Dismantling the gun for further cleaning is also essential. It can be done once every few months. In doing so, you have ensure that the front sight spring is still there, as well as the other springs and pins in the trigger when you putting it back. Exposing the internal part of the gun enables you to clean them as well. The rear bolt can be wiped clean with a wet cloth then oiled. The o-ring on the other hand can be replaced as necessary, as well as the ball latch. When disassembling the 98C, the valve should be left it its place as repeatedly removing its bolts can cause its premature malfunction.

Once you are done cleaning, lubricate it and it is now ready to be used again. Remember, do not use any other oil. There is a special paintball gun oil that you should use for lubricating your gun. Some lubricants may not be compatible with CO2 and using them may cause the marker to malfunction.
