Many times, people use a shared rental home, on an island, for a week or two out of the year and then the other people involved take turns using it throughout the year as well. This is just like a rental home, only you are part lessee and you are able to use it for a certain week or two out of the year, which normally it is the same week or weeks every year. The one problem which can arise with a shared rental is that in order to make it worth the money you need to go to your vacation home on the same island every year. However, shared rental homes usually are not for a long time, so it’s not like you would be stuck going to the same island for years and years. However, this is also an advantage because if you really like the island, and you plan on coming back year after year, a shared rental is a really good way to keep the accommodations you like at a cheaper price because you are sharing a lease with others.
