If you consolidate your credit card debts then you can pay off your debts in as less as three or six years. The very aim of consolidating your debts is to reduce the time for repaying your debts while lowering your payments every month. Now, different credit card debt consolidation plans have different terms and different conditions.

You should first make sure and verify that the cost of consolidating your debts is actually less compared to the amount that you are paying at present to your creditors. Most often, people who want to consolidate their debts often face the problem of not finding a low enough interest rate.

However, if you have a solid collateral such as a house, you will be able to secure a low interest loan.

First, calculate the interest as well as the fees on all of your present accounts. The sum is the payment that you make at present. Now, compare this sum with the amount of your consolidation loan. The difference will help you decide if yours is a better selection or not.

In case you have a loan already then you should keep making your payments every month regularly. This will be an assurance to your creditors about your intentions of paying back their debts. Delaying your payments can cause the creditors to turn on you.

This can mean that you might have to return to paying the regular rates of interest, fees.

You should always keep in contact with the consolidation representative. It might be possible that your account have been assigned to some collection agency. If keep your agent or representative informed about any changes, then it will help you.

You should keep paying the consolidation company your credit. This is because they decide and divide to pay your creditors.

Keep checking the statements from your creditors. Sometimes they might make mistakes and it is always your duty to point them out. You should keep an eye open for any reduced rates. Besides that, you should see if they have stopped the late fees yet. Above all, check if your consolidation agency is paying the creditor the appropriate amount.

Now, you can choose from a number of loans for debt consolidation. While some offer you longer repayment periods and high rates of interest, others might offer you short periods of repayment but a lower interest rate.

These loans come at different rates. There is also one that offer a variable rate so that you can make extra payments and not be charged with any extra charge.

Prepaid credit cards are great for those who find it difficult to control their spending habits. They have a limit imposed by the cardholder that is solely determined by how much money they load onto it. If the person does not have money to load onto the card, then they wont be able to use the card. In short, by the time a prepaid card is used, the bill is already paid. Its probably the best type of credit card available for people who want to stay out of debt.

Prepaid credit cards are wonderful tools to have if you have a college student in the family. You can load a certain amount onto the card for your child to use but he or she wont be able to go over that set amount. If your child attends school far away, you can arrange for funds to be transferred onto the card via the Internet. Using this type of plan for the college student in your family is far superior to giving him or her a credit card to use.

Travelers also enjoy using prepaid credit cards because they can load only the amount they wish to spend onto the card before taking their trips. This keeps their spending down to a minimum and they dont have to worry about charging up too much that will have to be repaid once they get back home.

Many people who dont qualify for regular credit cards use prepaid cards instead. Some of the cards will even report to the credit bureaus so that you are able to build up some type of credit history. Eventually, people using these cards can qualify for a real credit card if they pay their bills on time.

Even if you qualify for a credit card, a prepaid credit card will help you control your spending so that you dont end up in debt. Many people who can actually afford to use credit have decided to use prepaid cards in an attempt to discipline themselves into spending only the money they already have.

Prepaid credit cards are great debt management tools because they are cards you can use that have no bad consequences. The amount you charge on them has actually already been paid for in advance. What better spending control measure could there be than that?

Once you become accustomed to shopping with a prepaid card, you will find that it changes your spending habits. Where you once might have gotten something that was a little too expensive for your budget, you wont be tempted in that way anymore. You will learn to live within your means and, as a result, your life will actually become less stressful because you wont be out there making debt that you can not pay.

Prepaid credit cards have many advantages over regular credit cards and will probably become more and more popular as time goes on and the economy weakens. With jobs becoming scarce and paychecks far between, people are now realizing that they must learn to control their spending and not make debts they can not afford to repay. Now is the best time to learn self-discipline and prepaid credit cards are a great place to start.

You should know your responsibility as a credit card customer. If you do not pay your credit card dues you may be black listed by a bank. You should know the consequences of being a defaulter. One should take it extremely seriously.

Other banks may decline to issue credit cards to you. It may affect your chances of getting loan in the future. Every bank works according to the set norms. If the bank requests not to put post dated cheques in the collection box dont do it. It becomes difficult for the banks to segregate current cheques from the post dated cheques. If it is possible give standing instructions for debiting a specific bank account on due date. If any dispute arises settle with the bank. This is a digital age and your default will follow you wherever you go. If the bank does anything wrong, approach the statutory body. It can and does give directions which are binding on the banks. Read about the decisions given by then in recent past. If you area defaulter but you have done a full and final settlement with the bank, still you are black listed approach a good lawyer to take up your case. You should be aware that Credit Bureau keeps track of all your payments good or bad. Pan, date of birth, name variations are used to match up records.

Dont let other people use your credit card. Only you are responsible for all the transactions. Credit card requires responsible handling any lapse may cost you a lot. If you dont have any outstanding on your credit card and want to close it during validity period , cut your card into four pieces and send it under acknowledge due post to the address given in the billing statement.

If your card is lost, immediately call the bank and report the matter. The bank staffs will hot list the card. You should take the acknowledgement number for your report. Your liability ends from that time onwards. If you want to get a new card issued you will have to pay replacement fee.

Banks are getting tougher on credit card defaulters. A credit card may give you a lot of grief. You may get threatening calls. If you are really in trouble and the bank employee is crossing the limit first try to settle the mode of payment. If still it happens call up the bank and complain bitterly. Being more judicious is the best thing to do while using a credit card.

Many business today find the options of using business credit cards where you can find no fee credit card deals and low rate credit cards options.

Credit cards come in all kinds of ranges in price, rewards and rates. Some of the cheapest cards are those that charge a low APR and a low annual fee. The other kinds of credit cards either have attractive reward programs like cash backs or rebates or offer a very specialized service to the card holder.

One of the ways that the credit card issuers use to ensure that they hook more credit card shoppers is to introduce a special rate of APR or annual fee for purchases and balance transfers for a certain period of time say 6 or 12 months which the special rate applies.

ANZ has been in the market for quite some time and thus have gathered enough knowledge and gained an edge among their competitors in terms of packaging products and general presentation. They have a much diversified selection of cards that gives the credit card shopper an ample choice that includes all kinds of products. Most of their cards have an annual fee that ranges from $30 upwards. One of the cards with the lowest annual fee that they offer is the first Visa credit card that comes at a fee of just $30 and an interest fee of 17.49% which is medium compared to other cards in the market.

The Rewards Visa credit card is designed for just the name. It offers the credit card holder a specified amount of points for each dollar spent. The card is standard level and comes at an interest rate of 17.99% and an annual fee of $48. The ANZ Low rate MasterCard is thus named because of the very competitive rate of 11.74% that it offers. It comes at a $58 annual fee. The Balance Visa comes at a rate of 12.74% and annual fee of $79 that is quite similar to the Rewards Visa Gold credit card that comes at the same annual fee but has an interest rate of 17.99%.

The ANZ Gold credit card comes at a medium rate of 17.49% and an annual fee of $87. The Frequent Flyer Visa credit card is actually designed for persons who fly often it comes at a rate of 17.99% and an annual fee of $95. It shares the same rates as the frequent Flyer Visa Gold credit card and Frequent Flyer Platinum credit card that are similar but have annual fees of $150 and $195 respectively.

We all try to find the best option for debt solution, and to achieve this may be you will need a no fee credit cards and low rate credit cards .

You can look to a better future with debt settlement or negotiation. If your debts are so high that it is impossible for you to pay them anyhow, then you can go for this option. It will help you negotiate for a reduction in your outstanding debt with your creditor. You can get a reduction of as high as half of your outstanding debt.

It is not that difficult to fall into debts these days, especially with the abundance of credit cards and a high-end lifestyle. These reasons have caused many a people to register for bankruptcy this year.

Everybody who is in a debt wants to become free from it. However, only a few consult debt negotiators before they go into bankruptcy. While bankruptcy might solve your debt problems for the present, it has several nasty repercussions for your financial future.

Therefore, it is better to go for debt negotiation compared to filing for bankruptcy. Remember one thing; bad debt has no easy solution. You have to seek help from a reliable debt counsellor.

Before you sign up with any debt negotiator, you should first know that it is not going to be easy. It is mainly debt management and it will be difficult. You might have to pay some predetermined negotiation fees. Besides that, you might not be able to leave the program without paying any extra penalties. Therefore, you should think twice before selecting your debt negotiator.

Now, it is not compulsory or necessary that you take help from a professional debt negotiator. If you think you can take up the challenge and do the work, then you can try to contact your lender directly.

You can talk to them and speak about your problem while also asking if they can reduce your payment. While you can do this yourself, it will be much less stressful and easier if you let a professional do it. Besides, they might come with better results than you could have achieved on your own.

After you have negotiated your debt, it is better to make a lump sum payment. This causes you to save a lot on your interest as well as principal payments. This will make your debt settlement cheaper and affordable for you.

You can choose from a variety of plans and programs when with a professional debt negotiator. Any of these plans will work for you to help you save on your principal amount and you can settle your debt.

The first step in debt negotiation is to discharge any higher rates of interest so that you can eliminate any delinquency. It is easier for them to spot and understand the basic problem of your debt.

Debt negotiation will help you reduce the number of years in which you can become debt free.

If you are in serious you should consider to work towards your debt consolidation loan, also don’t forget to try to apply for a no fee credit card and low rate credit card.

You could make yourself a lot of questions about Visa -"as part of the credit card associations" about its role in the CCI (Credit Card Industry) and the benefits that can bring out to credit card users in different locations in Australia.

You could make yourself a lot of questions about Visa -”as part of the credit card associations” about its role in the CCI (Credit Card Industry) and the benefits that can bring out to credit card users in different locations in Australia. I personally feel there is a strong weakness in the way both credit card associations “-Visa, MasterCard, Discovery and more” and issuing banks communicate the advantages, benefits and offers that can lead credit cards users to be more aware about Visa. In a recent research made in Sydney (Australia), was determined that more than 94% of users dont know anything about the benefits Visa is bringing out to customers. The unique things people knows about Visa is all the promotion, TV ads and banners promoting the use of Visa and lot of slogans showing that Visa is the best way to have a good vacation in the Caribbean or travel throughout Australia with Visa, or move everywhere with Visa. I really dont know what are the difference between Visa and other credit cards, and according to the aforementioned research, most Visa credit card users dont know anything about that. Where is the communication problem?

When you go back the basis in marketing, there is something named marketing mix that basically have another famous term known as The four P’s the marketing “-product, price, place and promotion”that every brand should understand how its work fine. I can say that Visa is among the stronger brands of the world, but one of the most significant characteristic that a strong brand should have is that it should have a distance, or a clear difference from other brands. Something impressive is that when people that were surveyed in the research about the difference of Visa from its competitors, people really dont know what to say.

Visa is good because people think it is good but essentially, it is something intangible that credit card users “-from banks issuing Visa credit cards”- can not clearly identify. I personally think that credit card associations acknowledge that Visa is a leader in the market of credit cards “-which is evidently an amazing business”- and they have an amazing reputation everywhere in Australia.

Another important point of view is the one that credit card associations could be a transparent thing for credit card users. Banks in Australia only offers credit cards and the benefits of these products are not often based on the difference of Visa and its competitor but other aspects such as credit card rate, credit cad limit, issuing fee, annual fee and other aspects that not necessarily are attained to the credit card association that is part of the credit card you are receiving from the credit card issuing bank.

Despite of all this, the most unfortunate thing is that I always use Visa but I really dont know why. I only use Visa because it is the first name that comes to my mind when I am going to acquire a credit card from a issuing banks.

Australia has seen a lot of change especially in the credit card industry in the past few years. Long before the overseas companies began investing in this young industry, the major banks of Australia had the monopoly in credit card issuance. They charged high annual fees and interest rates such that owning a credit card was more of a luxury than a necessity.

When the big players finally came and raised the competition, these banks had to lower rates and there was a huge race to find out who would take the market by storm. These overseas companies like AMEX came with the policies of competitive rates I the US and UK thus sparking a revolution of sorts as more credit card issuers came up.

One such emergent credit card is the Virgin Money credit card that was launched by Sir Richard Branson, who owns the Virgin Group, in several countries. The card is no longer being issued due to the merger with Westpac, though the card holders will not be affected by the change. The card offers a 0% per annum interest rate for the first six months from account opening on all balance transfers to a new virgin card. This is one of the cards wonderful offers. However, the most outstanding part is that Virgin Money Credit Card holders do not get to pay any annual fee whatsoever. The cards interest rate is a fair ongoing rate of just 14.24% per annum on all purchases.

Another interesting offer is that the credit card holder is entitled to 55 interest free days on all purchases as long as he or she pays off the card in full every month and on time. This is also inclusive of balance transfers. The card holders also get to enjoy 24 hours access to the credit card issuer in case of any queries or arising problems. The card also runs a rewards program called Mates Rates instant awards where there are no fees or any periods of waiting and all the card holder does is to make deals with card issuer on things hey want in exchange for points redemption.

The Low Interest Virgin card can be used in 32 million locations worldwide and 430,000 others in Australia alone. To make payment with the card, you can transfer funds from your account directly to the credit card regardless of the bank. This is definitely an interesting card.

It is completely possible to enjoy the benefits of having a higher credit card limit from your issuing bank. There are some basic tips and things you should have to accomplish so that issuing banks can evaluate your credit card payment behavior and make the decision to increase your credit card limit.

There are two basic ways to acquire a higher credit card limit from your credit card issuing bank. The first way to get a higher credit card limit is the one that is made automatically. In other words, the bank verifies that you can have a higher limit because you always pay on time and you probably have reported that you have a higher income. There are always more than one or two variables that issuing banks evaluate to increase your credit card limit. It is a mistake when you think that the unique way to receive a higher credit card limit is because you always pay on time. There are other things that credit card issuing banks verify to determine that. On the other hand, the second way credit card issuing banks provide a higher limit is if you ask it through the customer service procedure they have for that. It is very important that you ensure you accomplish with all the policies required by credit card issuing bank for this purpose.

There are several people in Australia that proceed this way. They could be interested in having a higher credit card limit and if they have a proper credit card score they could classify for that. But in general, the credit card issuing bank is the financial institution that is capable to approve that you receive a higher credit card limit even though you think you have all the conditions to receive it. There are people that are not interested in having a higher credit card limit and that is the reason why credit card issuing banks always ask them, if they accept an increasing.

The bank always establishes the increasing as well as the newer limit rate. For instance, if you have 18 months, you always pay your credit card bill on time and you never failed in that, but also, last year you had an income of $5000 and now you have an income of $7500 you could be a secure candidate to receive a higher credit card limit or another credit card with a higher limit than that of your current credit card.

Despite of this, having a higher credit card limit is not always a good alternative for you. That is why you should be aware of the use of your credit card so that you always can have full control of it. If you have more than one no fee credit card, check always you have your vouchers and credit card balance reports from banks well organized. It is good that you have a fine handling of your money as well as your credit cards, because if you have a good credit rate you wont have problems for future loans or higher credit card limit.

We all try to find the best option for debt solution, and to achieve this may be you will need a no fee credit cards and low rate credit cards .

To repair your credit, you must first work away negative information from the past on your credit report and catch up on overdue bills. Still, these alone wont make your credit standing get to where it needs to be. If you want to apply for a loan, you have to actually rebuild your credit and prove you can be responsible for it. These can seem overwhelming and make it hard to get things going, but once you get started, it will become easier. Soon you will have the good credit you seek, but you must start with good credit habits.

The Donts

Sometimes, it seems people are simply born without the ability to use credit cards well. Become familiar with what you should and shouldnt do with those plastic lures, and you give yourself a strong edge in improving your financial life. First, dont use your credit cards on small, common purchases like food, gas, and clothing. Use cash or a debit card instead, otherwise you will spend without thinking and continue to make your credit worse.

Next, avoid making only the minimum payment on your bills, if at all possible. This only makes it take even longer for you to be able to pay off your debt and will substantially increase your interest rates. Most importantly, dont ever buy things you cant afford, even though the credit card might allow you to do so. If you do give in, you will most likely want to return them anyway once you are over your head in debt, so its best to avoid the issue in the first place.

The Dos

Do learn how to discern between your needs and your wants, and only use your credit cards on the former. Dont give in to wants, but also dont keep yourself from getting what you actually do need. Being responsible takes in both these elements and shows you can manage yourself effectively. Also, dont try to hush up with your creditor on your inability to make your payment on time. They might even be able to tell you if you let them know ahead of time. Dont ever just forget about the payment, but if you can offer a valid explanation, you might be able to waive late fees.

Finally, dont exceed your credit limit. In fact, dont even come close to doing so. Try to keep your spending at around 30% of this amount. Your credit score worsens with the more debt you have, so always seek a low balance.
