The impressive body of research surrounding omega-3's is incessantly growing and has been very well received by a good number nutrition specialists.

Medical professionals of today will nearly all agree that omega-3 fish oils should be part of a strong diet. Why? Fish Oil has assertively been studied over the preceding forty years for its Essential Fatty Acids EPA & DHA, also generally referred to as Omega-3′s. The awesome body of research around fish oils is constantly growing and has been very well received by nearly all nutrition specialists. The research about fish oils features reports ranging from the effects of the nutrient on cardiovascular wellbeing to cognitive function, to virtually every other function in the body.

For the commonly fit population Omega-3′s play a key role in sustaining cardio health, blood sugar metabolism and healthful brain function. For women who are thinking on the subject of having a baby, are pregnant or breastfeeding Omega-3′s are solidly suggested for their support in the development of the child’s brain, retinas and central nervous system. There are also novel scientific studies suggesting a link between a decrease in certain types of food allergies and infant eczema. Now many researchers consider that mother’s should be taking Omega-3′s well previous to getting pregnant, as the fetus appears to be getting much of the DHA in particular, from the mother’s tissue stores. These essential fatty acids are also crucial for expecting mothers because of their impact in numerous areas of health.

Thus, if you are already eating a decent and balanced diet, think about adding wild caught salmon as a staple, or a good omega-3 dietary supplement. If selecting to use the dietary health supplements, you will want to take at least 1000 mg (1 gram) of omega-3′s which contain EPA and DHA every day. Also note that EPA and DHA can be found in flax seed and DHA can be found from algal sources for those interested in keeping a vegan diet.

There is one more thing to consider when picking the proper Omega-3 product for you. The dosage form! Commonly fish oil omegas are found in large soft gelatin capsules or a flavored liquid vitamin. It is suggested in both cases to keep the product cool or refrigerated to minimize the risk of “fish burps” (yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like), if you find this to be an issue even with refrigeration, consider taking them previous to bed.

If pills and potential fish burps aren’t a great option for you, don’t fret, today you can find Omega-3 products on the market that range from soft chews (think Starburst Candy) to single serve powder stick packs (think Crystal Light) and an ever growing array of fortified food products (but be careful with the food products, many don’t deliver the full amount you require for the ingredient to be effective and are best used in addition to a supplement).

Choosing omega-3 and prenatal vitamins can be an overwhelming choice for expectant mothers. Bloom’en Nutrition gives the guidance that you need to make the right choice for your baby. Visit us today.

Fat, do you actually think that it can do any good for your skin? For many, the answer would be no. But for those who are aware of the actual benefits of fatty acids, the answer is of course yes. Fatty acids are in fact vital for a healthy skin. In fact, Omega-3 can even make you feel younger as well. The best thing to do is to eliminate saturate fats from your diet but add fatty acids that are found in fish oils.

Also known as fatty acids, Omega 3 is naturally found in fish products and sometimes wild game. It offers a great deal of benefits to the body and he’s been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Although its benefits were discovered about 70 years ago, it was not until recently that they became particularly well known for their importance. Omega 3 benefits are plentiful and should be a part of virtually any healthy diet.

An adequate daily supply of fatty acids is essential to maintaining a good immune system and generally good overall health both mental and physical. The benefits include combating certain types of disease and they can also help to increase fertility.

You can find these fatty acids in three sources most of all. Many of these are found in natural products such as fresh fish but they can also be found in tinned fish and they can come in the form of dietary supplements. Historically, these fatty acids were consumed a great deal more than they are today due to people consuming more fish and wild game.

Tinned fish is easy to come by and is quite cheap as well, but it also contains fairly harmful that can help to offset the advantages of fatty acids. Fresh fish may also not be a good choice, especially in the case where it is farmed. Farmed fish are often pumped full of contaminants.

Dietary supplements are also another choice worth considering. They are especially useful if you do not like fish. However, there is no doubt about it that the best source of fatty acids comes from fresh fish that have not been farmed. The problem with farmed fish is that they do tend to contain higher amounts of contaminants that the unhealthy for your body.

Lowest prices ever on fish oil, grab yours now while they last at fish oil Better hurry because suplies are limited.

Fatty acids have been shown to be an important part of any diet. Discovered by professionals in the health industry as early as 1930, they have since become an important part of any healthy diet and they come in a number of different forms. Also known as Omega 3, they are now proved by the United States organisation called the Food And Drug Administration.

Adding these fatty acids to your diet will help to ensure that you increase your immune system and help you to lead a healthier and better life. They have been shown to help curb cancer and Alzheimer’s amongst a number of other medical ailments. They also offer a number of other advantages such as being able to keep the skin healthy and even boost fertility.

You can find these important fatty acids in a number of different sources. Unfortunately, due to the rise in price of the, one of the most important sources of fatty acids, prevalence in our diet is dropped in recent times. However, there are various other sources of fatty acids if you look carefully enough.

While fresh fish is the best source of fatty acids, it is often prohibitively expensive to get and sometimes the to come by. However, there are alternatives which are definitely worth considering. Unfortunately, this is not a particularly natural product and tends to contain preservatives and other contaminants that you don’t need. However, it is still a source worth considering.

You may find the one of the best options is to go for a dietary supplement. Cod liver oil is one of the most popular forms. Having a dietary supplement is a great way to boost the immune system if you don’t have a like a fish. It is also cheap and you can put it on just about any food you like. You could also take tablets which contain these important acids.

Fish oil offers an outstanding number of medical advantages to you. Unsurprisingly, it can be found in fish, but, you need to get the right sorts of fish. Fish which comes from fish farms tends to contain contaminants which can offset the astounding benefits of the active ingredient of fish oil, Omega 3. You will also find that that is the problem with tinned fish.

Fish oil has been proven to increase your cardiovascular health and bolster the immune system. It also helps to prevent various disease and increases brain function. This is often why fish is often referred to informally as brain food.

Discovered for its amazing health benefits in the last century, it has since been proven that Omega 3 should be an essential part of any healthy diet. There are three main sources for fish oil. These are tinned fish, fresh fish and dietary supplements which may come in the form of something you add to your food or some types of medication such as a pill which you take every day.

Indeed the benefits of Omega 3 are so great and proven that they have been approved by a number of standards organisations such as the United States’ Food and Drug Administration. Not liking fish is not necessarily a problem either since you can take fish oil in the form of tablets as well.

These supplements can come in the form of tablets that you could take once a day or you could sprinkle a little bit of fish oil on your food if you prefer. But consuming fresh fish is still better, these supplements and definitely an alternative worth thinking about.

The health benefits of omega3 essential fatty acids are becoming more and more mainstream, and gradually the population is becoming aware that most of us are deficient in their Omega3 intake and that increasing our intake of essential fatty acids may help improve a number of health outcomes for all of us. Omega3 fatty acids are found in fish oil and this obviously comes from fish, however fish is generally contaminated with Mercury. So what do you do increase your intake of healthy fats if the source, namely fish, is contaminated with Mercury?

There has been a study published this year which has looked at Mercury contamination of fish in the North Pacific Ocean. It found that the level of Mercury in the North Pacific has increased 30 percent over 10 years from’96 to 2006.

And as well is this it also found that around 40 percent of Mercury found population of US can be traced back and tuna that they have eaten which has been caught in the North Pacific.

This is seriously worrying, because you do not want to be eating too much Mercury. It is a neurotoxin and it has serious health implications for adults, but in particular for the fetus and for infants.

Atmospheric production of Mercury as well as Mercury leakage from Asia were the major ways that it was found that Mercury made its way into the oceans. It is found in the oceans as methylmercury, and is found in our tuna because it starts at the bottom of the food chain and works it’s way up right up to fish at the top of the food chain like shark and tuna. And we eat shark and tuna.

So the conundrum for anyone that understands the importance of increasing their intake of omega3 fatty acids, and who also understands that the vast majority of our population is deficient in Omega3 fats, is that by increasing your intake of fish to increase your intake of Omega3 fats you are also increasing your intake of Mercury.

Not only that but fish is a declining resource and is also getting more and more expensive with time. Is there a better way to increase your intake of omega3 fatty acids other than by eating fish? Yes.

A much better way that is both more cost-effective and safer than eating more fish is by daily supplementation with omega3 supplements. These can be called fish oil supplements, and the best fish oil supplements are much more cost-effective than eating fish and are also free of contamination with Mercury. Large numbers of people now recognize this and the sales of omega3 supplements are increasing faster than any other nutritional supplement in history.

Of course if you like fish and wish to increase your intake of omega3 then you can do so by eating more fish, but this is expensive and increases your intake of Mercury. That’s fine if you understand this, however if you merely wish to increase your dietary intake of essential fatty acids without the cost or the risk of Mercury contamination omega3 supplements offer a safe and cost-effective way to do so.

However it’s also very important to note that the different brands of Omega3 capsules available have widely differing levels of the essential omega3 fats and for this reason it’s difficult to compare those available to find out the most effective and those which offer the best value.

If you’d like to find out how to compare the different omega3 supplements available then you can do so on my website.

For some time science has understood the health benefits of omega 3 essential fatty acids, and this now extends to our children. Omega 3 fats should be an essential part of the diet of any child right from conception.

You find Omega 3 essential fatty acids in fish oil. Kids are just like adults. They have a minimum requirement for levels of omega 3 in their diet to ensure adequate development and health. The importance of omega 3 in children has now been underscored by the release of a study from the University of Wollongong’s School Of Health Sciences in Australia. In this study it was found that Australian children were hugely deficient in omega 3. Children in the US will be no different.

The study discovered that the average intake of Omega3 fats in children of 3 years was 47 milligrams which was described by the professor undertaking the study as “desperately low”.

There are 2 very important essential fatty acids found in fish oil called DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). These are the fatty acids known as omega 3. Children in the US and Australia have way too little of these essential fats in their diet. This inadequate intake of omega 3 in children has health implications for the healthy development of our kids.

A child’s requirement for omega 3 fats starts right at conception. The study noted that brain development was extremely fast during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and that for adequate brain development an adequate level of DHA was essential. And it also noted that the first 2 years of infancy was equally important for brain development and placed an equal demand on DHA levels.

Children are unable to supplement their diets. This is a decision made by their parents. Parents ought seriously consider increasing their own intake of Omega3 fats as well as increasing the intake in their children of fish oil. Kids health depends upon the decisions made by their parents.

And it’s not just the brain development of our children that is negatively affected by a low intake of omega 3. Kids have a range of other developmental and health issues, all of which can benefit from increasing their intake of fish oil. Kids with inadequate levels of omega 3 have a higher risk of asthma, slower brain development, slower visual development, in some cases lower IQ and also an increased risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as other health issues.

Clearly there are serious issues involved when considering the supplementation of omega 3 in children. This can be achieved by increasing their intake of fish however there are various issues associated with this including mercury contamination, the price of fish and the well-known dislike of fish by children.

I supplement the diet of my own children with omega 3 fish oil capsules. When they were too young to take capsules it was a simple matter to cut the top off the capsules and pour that fish oil on their breakfast. They don’t even know fish oil is there.

The decisions of parents about what their children eat are important ones affecting the development of their children. Omega 3 supplementation is cost effective and simple and is important right from the conception of the child. Even during breastfeeding omega 3 supplementation by mothers increases the amount of DHA available to the infant in the breastmilk.

However not all Omega 3 capsules are as good as others. There are many issues relating to the quantity of DHA present in the capsules, the freshness of the fish oil used, (fish oil oxidizes quickly) and the effectiveness of the fatty acids.

To find out which Omega 3 capsules I give to my own children and take myself visit my website.

Nutritional supplements are big business but the sales of fish oil pills are growing faster than sales of any other supplement in history. Fish oil pills can sometimes be called omega 3 supplements or Omega 3 capsules. Lets look at the benefits of fish oil and why you should be taking fish oil pills every day.

There are 2 essential fatty acids known as omega 3 fatty acids. These are called DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), and they are good fats. Contrary to what you may have heard about diet fats in your diet are not all bad.

It is certainly true that eating lots of animal products such as chicken and red meat containing saturated fat is not good for you and you should reduce your intake of saturated fat. But the essential fatty acids known as omega 3 fats are highly important to good health and your body does not manufacture these fats, so getting them in your diet is the only way to get plenty of Omega3 fats inside you. You can do this by eating lots of fish or by taking daily fish oil pills.

Studies have shown that way too many of us, in fact almost all of us in the US, have too little omega 3 fatty acids in our diet. Studies of populations in countries where fish and seafood are important in the diet show that these people have much better heart health than we do and the studies show that this is a result of their superior intake of fish.

There’s many health benefits from essential fatty acids called omega 3 fats. These benefits include many heart health benefits and the American Heart Association recognizes this, recommending we have a minimum intake of DHA and EPA every week. The AHA tells us to do this by eating more fish or taking fish oil pills daily.

The health benefits include a reduced risk of death from heart disease and heart attack, lowering triglycerides, lowering blood pressure and reducing the build of plaque in the arteries. Other health benefits include an improvement in brain function and memory, a reduction in the risk of macular degeneration causing blindness in older age and a reduction in a range of inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and lots lots more.

There is also ample evidence that pregnant women should be taking Omega 3 supplements because DHA and EPA, and in particular DHA, is an essential part of brain development and that if pregnant women are DHA deficient this can negatively affect the brain development of the fetus. Equally it is important for breastfeeding women to supplement with DHA and EPA because these become available to the infant through the breastmilk, and are important to the infant for the same reason. Studies show that children with an adequate supply of Omega3 fats through their developmental years do better on IQ tests.

Clearly we should all be increasing our intake of DHA and EPA, but how do you do that? Eating more fish is one option. However fish is very expensive and there are only certain fish which have high levels of these essential fatty acids. And fish is generally contaminated with nasty toxins such as PCBs, mercury, pesticides and various heavy metals and the EPA tells us not to eat too much fish because of this.

Fish oil pills offer the ideal answer. These are small capsules of fish oil which are simple to take everyday, and although children may struggle taking them it is a simple matter to cut the top off and poor the oil onto their food. The very best fish oil pills are free of contamination and are extremely cost-effective to take daily.

However the best fish oil pills contain far more DHA, the most important Omega 3 fat, than the worst and for this reason it is difficult to compare the different omega 3 supplements available.

Every day I take fish oil pills with my breakfast and give them to my family. I take what are, in my view, the worlds best fish oil pills. If you’d like to find out more about these Omega 3 supplements visit my website.

The amazing acai berry has garnished quite a bit of attention. Acai supplements, extracts, mixes and juices are popping up all over the place. They might prevent cancer, heart disease and even slow aging and promote weight loss. It was not long ago that blueberries were the big superfood. Are acai berries really so much better?

They both contain a group of phytochemicals called anthocyanins. Plants contain various phytochemicals that help the plant fight disease, fungal infections and free radical damage. They help at the cellular level. So, we benefit from these protective factors when we consume the plants. The phytochemicals such as anthocyanins improve our overall health.

These phytochemicals also contribute to the plants characteristics such as color and aroma. There are a variety of phytochemicals in every plant, but the most predominant one lends to the plant’s overall characteristics. Purple plants, such as acai berries and blueberries, contain high amounts of anthocyanins which give them their gorgeous, purplish blue coloring.

Anthocyanins have several characteristics that make them extremely beneficial to the human body. First, they have high amounts of antioxidants. Antioxidants are known to fight free radicals and the damage incurred. We are exposed to free radicals on a daily basis: car exhaust, carcinogens, UV rays, pollution, industrial chemicals, household chemicals and even the foods we eat. Free radicals contribute to cancer, heart disease and aging among other health concerns.

Anthocyanins also have anti-inflammatory properties. Scientists are now giving more credence to inflammation’s role in the disease process, aging and weight gain. Our diets, high in animal protein and refined carbohydrates and low in fruits, vegetables and whole grains, contribute largely to systemic inflammation.

So, if blueberries and acai berries both contain high amounts of anthocyanins, why are acai berries so highly regarded whereas blueberries seem to have gone back to being, well, just a fruit topping for pancakes?

Acai berries have an extremely high ORAC score compared to most fruits and vegetables. ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorption Capabilities, and it is a measure of how much the food prevents free radical damage. Acai berries have around 5500 whereas blueberries contain 2400. Acai berries also contain a near perfect blend of essential amino acids which is rare for a plant.

However, you will not find acai berries in the produce department like blueberries. They only grow in the Amazon and we have yet to figure out how to supply these gorgeous berries for regular consumption. You will have to suffice for supplements, extracts or powders. The juices may contain sugar or corn syrup and low amounts of actual acai berry.

Ultimately, it is best to take in a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and whole grains to benefit from a variety of beneficial phytochemicals. They work synergistically in the body to promote overall good health. An acai berry supplement may also be a great idea to add to a healthy diet, especially during the winter months when fresh produce is not as plentiful.

The brain is undoubtedly the best command center there is. What with commanding all the other body parts – controlling movements, registering what the senses take in, and a whole lot of other things. The brain works 24/7!

However, since the brain works so much it also needs continuous support by way of nutrients so that it can keep on firing neurotransmitters to other parts of the body. If the brain is deprived of the nutrients it needs, it become weak, and eventually damaged, which will result in a poor memory.

There are also a lot of factors at work to weaken our memories. Over time, pollution, bad health habits, a fast-paced lifestyle and stress all contribute to a poor memory. The fact that we’re getting older is also another factor that works against us.

Keep the brain in tip-top shape! There is something you can do to ward off the loss of your memory and we can still keep the mind alert. With the help of a healthy lifestyle, coupled with a healthy and balanced diet, you can have a healthy brain.

First, keep yourself active. Work your brain and body! Find some activities that will stimulate the brain. Also, perform regular exercises to keep your body active. When you keep your body healthy, you will enjoy a healthy blood circulation. When our blood is circulating as it should, the different body parts are well-supplied with oxygen and nutrients. In addition, manage your stress so that it does not get the better of you. Stress is an unavoidable part of life, you just have to handle it so that it does not have its toll on your mental health.

Your diet should be comprised of plenty of green, leafy vegetables. And to add to that, take in some memory supplements. Selenium, gingko biloba, ginseng, folic acid, ginger, hawthorn and coenzyme Q10 all work to help you strengthen your brain and boost your memory.

I would recommend to read also more on supplement for memory and explore fish oil
