Do you like playing paintball? It’s a rough game. You could get hit possibly anywhere. And you wouldn’t want to get hit on the face, right? So it’s good to wear a good paintball mask when playing.

One of the most important protective gears that you should have when playing paintball is a paintball mask. It gives you confidence to stand face-to-face with the opponent without the fear of getting shot in the face. It also stops the paint from getting into your eyes, nose, mouth, or ears since ingesting paint can be toxic to the body.

Eye injuries can also be prevented by wearing a paintball mask. Paintball markers can travel up to 300 feet per second. And if you get shot in the eye, then you could receive considerable damage in your eye. A paintball mask also provides better vision during game p lay. You would consider getting a paintball mask that allows you 120 degrees of vision for you to be able to see better in the field.

Has it happened that your sunglasses or your eyeglasses fog up when you go into a cold room on a hot day? It could also happen with your paintball mask. So it is wise to get a mask with thermal lenses or anti-fog lenses that help you keep your vision clear during game play. Thermal lenses are made of two lenses with a thin space filled with air in between that serves as a barrier for the outside temperature to the heat on your face.

Some paintballs masks lenses would be tinted to act like sunglasses and shield your eyes from the glare of the sun or the light. A paintball mask could also prevent head trauma and other head injuries caused by falling or tripping.

To get a good paintball mask, make sure that you try one out first, see if you really like the game. You would not like to shell out money for something that you wouldn’t be interested in. If you have already decided that you want to play paintball, purchase a paintball mask that fits your size. Masks would cost from less than $20 to $100 dollars.

A darker colored paintball mask is preferred than the brighter colored ones. T is not necessary that it would be camouflaged. But bright colored masks allow your opponent to put an easy target on you since your mask makes you stand out. Thus, it is still best to choose the darker colors than the brighter ones.

Your paintball mask must completely cover your chin and your ears to make sure that your whole face is protected by the mask. If you want to protect your whole head, you could go for the mask that looks like a motorcycle helmet with a different face guard.

The padding on your paintball mask is also very important. It must be firmly glued onto the plastic of your mask. It should contour your face when you wear it and return to its original shape when you take the mask off. This would allow you comfort and provide you with a snug fit while you’re playing.

Paintballing is something that from the outside can appear to be pretty complex but really only consists of a few necessary pieces of equipment. If you’ve already decided to buy your paintball equipment here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect to get started.

If you’re brand new to paintball it’s a good idea to first go play paintball and rent your equipment before you purchase anything. Once you’re committed to the sport and you’ve played a couple of times you can more accurately put together a list of what you’ll want and need to play.

First and foremost is a marker or a paintball gun. Your marker should come with some kind of protective case when you purchase it and you want to make sure to save that case so you can use it to transport your delicate marker to and from the paintball field. Your gym bag isn’t exactly the safest place for this delicate piece of equipment. Along with your marker you’ll want to carry a cleaning tool to clean out the barrel of your marker as a dirty barrel can negatively impact your accuracy.

Next on the list are some good quality and right size paintballs for your marker. Now when you’re moving these from your home to the paintball field you want to have them in a liquid tight container so if any of them burst you don’t have to worry about getting paint everywhere. Last on the list of accessories for your paintball gun is a scope. Now a scope is not necessary but it will make you much more accurate especially from distance so if you’re looking to be aggressive on the paintball field then pick up a scope.

One of the most important pieces of equipment you will be taking out onto the paintball field is your mask or helmet. A paintball mask is important because it protects your face from the paintballs that your opponents are shooting at you. You want a paintball mask that has large lenses and allows for a good peripheral vision. You want to stay away from helmets that obstruct your vision in Anyway.

Secondly, when it comes to paintball helmets and masks there’s nothing worse then a helmet that fogs up while you’re playing! Imagine having to take off your helmet while you’re playing because you can’t see and then getting popped in the face with a paintball… not fun at all! Prevent that from happening by choosing your helmet or mask carefully.

As far as clothing goes if possible you want to wear clothes that have extra padding to help take the sting out of the paintballs the do hit you. It’s also a good idea to completely cover your arms and legs because paintballs do tend to sting a bit.

You also want to carry a small backpack on the field and in this backpack you want to pack snacks and water. Some paintball games can run somewhat long and you want to make sure you’re not of energy on the paintball field.

Just becasue it’s your first time out on the paintball field doesn’t mean it has to look like it. Be prepared, take these tips and suggestions into consideration and you’re sure to have a great time on the paintball field.
