Taking your time choosing the right pool liner for your swimming pool isn’t the most fun way to spend your day, but it can make a big difference. If you want to get the most out of your pool then you really need to spend a bit of time choosing the liner so that it does everything it needs to.

One of the types of liner you can buy is the beaded liner. These go onto a track which runs around the edge of the pool and then fix into place with beads giving the name.

Another type is unibead liners which fix themselves to the pool via a J-hook, although you don’t have to understand what this means to be able to get one.

Another type of liner is one that is called an overlap liner. These fold over the side of the swimming pool to hold themselves in place.

There are other types of liner but these are the main three. You can go to a swimming pool shop to see the others or have a look on the internet for them.

It’s vital to remember that before you buy a liner you should check that it actually fits your pool, as not all liners fit all pools. Buying the wrong one can be a big waste of time and money, so make sure you get it right the first time to avoid disappointment.

Another point to mention is that if you don’t know how to fit the liner then it is much better to spend a bit more money on getting it fitted by a professional than it is to try and fit it yourself and get it wrong.

Get the liner sorted and the pool becomes as fun as you want it to be, so don’t try and buy the cheapest liner, get one that you know will do the job and that will do it well! Paying a little bit extra upfront will make your life easier in the long run.

People who dare to establish business ventures despite the economic crisis never cease to amaze me. Case in point: Todd Daugherty. He’s the founder and owner of this amazing pool equipment website called 1800pools.com. I have a large in ground pool and I was looking for a store where I can buy my pool supplies; there, I found an incredible site to begin my search. It is gold mine for pool enthusiasts like me. At the top of the page they have a lively logo in the form of a frog.

Their site is proof that they’ve worked hard to put up a really good website for their customers. I dont know about you but if come across a web site, yes even swimming pool equipment sites, that are dull and boring then I may just move on; especially when I can go to a site like 1800pools.com.

As for the merchandise, you may have to bid goodbye to your local mom and pop outlet store. Once you’ve learn all the facts from their website, you no longer have to contribute in paying the rent of the overpriced swimming pool equipment store. You don’t have to look anywhere else because they have everything you need from pool liners to pool cleaners to pool filters and pool pumps.

The youtube channel is one of the things I really liked about 1800pools.com There seem to be new and cool stuff in the site such as the do-it-yourself swimming pool installation for a below ground pool kit and chemical safety. Im a visual learner so the videos really help people like me with swimming pool equipment issues. I’m contemplating about applying for a job at 1800pools.com to help develop their youtube channel because it has enormous potential. Try to check out their commercials over their channel. It’s really informative.

The team at 1800pools.com is so much into the “do-it-yourself” thing. They did a series of videos on how to install your own in ground pool. I mean, who installs their own below ground pool kit? It’s amazing how much confidence these people have in us; they think that we can figure this all out and they’re even willing to make a bet on it. That’s the kind of attitude I like, don’t you agree with me? I mean, I might be able to install my own above ground pool kit but a below ground pool kit may take more expertise than I have. The guys over at 1800pools.com believe that people are smarter than they think. That is what I really like.

A swimming pool can be a great way to liven up your garden and make it more fun for the whole family, but as you’re probably aware they don’t come cheap! No matter which type of pool you decide to buy it is definitely a good idea to do a lot of research to make sure you get the right one. You definitely don’t want to have to replace your new pool in the near future because you didn’t spend enough time researching the first time.

The first thing you need to think about is the type of pool you want. In general there are two options – above ground and in ground – each with their own benefits, and you need to think carefully about which one you want to choose.

If you are thinking of buying an in ground pool then be aware that they usually cost a lot of money. As you’d expect, because they have to be built into the ground you need to pay for not only the pool materials but for someone to do it for you. However because they are built like this you have a lot more options when it comes to design and shape, and they will also add value to your house as they are permanent in the garden.

The next thing you should take into account is how big the pool is. Of course you want your pool to be as big as possible, but there is no point getting one that means you have no garden left!

Many people struggle when trying to choose between an in ground and above ground pool, but in reality for a lot of people the choice so already made for them. In ground pools usually cost a lot more so if you don’t have the budget to cover it then you’ll have to go for an above ground.

Once you’ve decided on the basics there are many other things to think about i.e. the liner, cost, design, shape and much more. Spend time looking at all the options before deciding.
