Many Beatles fans feel that vinyl records are the best way to listen to music. These people believe there is just a certain magic to watching the “black circle” (to quote Pearl Jam) rotate and knowing that the sound you are listening to is coming from the needle rather than a series of 1s and 0s.

It is this feeling that has Beatles fans extremely excited about the strong possibility of The Beatles remasters making their way to vinyl LPs in in early 2010. Although as of this writing no date for release has been set, it is known that Apple Corps. is working on a Vinyl record release of The Beatles remastered stereo albums but there’s no indication that the mono remasters will also be released on vinyl.

The Beatles vinyl LPs that are currently available were pressed using the’87 remasters so these 2010 vinyl records should be significantly improved in sound quality like the new compact discs are in comparison to the old discs.

Like many other Beatles fans I’m going to be buying The Beatles Remasters Vinyl LP Box as soon as it is available to buy (as I’m sure it’ll sell out fast) despite the fact that I have already bought all of these 2009 remasters on CD (and on The Beatles USB.)

According to the reports that I have read, the remastered Beatles vinyl records will be sold both individually and as a part of a box set (just like The Beatles remastered stereo CDs.) The current rumored date for release is in March of 2010 but there’s a good chance that will not end up as the final date.

In the meantime I strongly recommend that you buy The Beatles in Stereo CD Box Set and The Beatles in Mono CD Box Set. They both sound incredible. I usually end up listening to stereo versions more often (as I just like hearing music in stereo more than in mono, in general) but that being said, the mono CDs are very interesting to hear too.
